Happy New Year from the gals at Simply Natural Events! We know 2015 is going to be blessed thanks to all of our wonderful couples, families, friends and vendors!
It’s that time of year again! Monique Lhuillier will be having their semi-annual sample sale on Sunday, July 13th, 2014 at a pop-up shop in downtown. They have a lot of great bridal options and a good selection of RTW. Lots of super cute cocktail dresses and gowns. All marked down 40% – 90%!!
There are so many different sources offering advice on tipping your wedding vendors, it can make your head spin. My Wedding has put together a handy tipping cheat sheet.
While gratuity or a gift is always appreciated, it is not mandatory. A thoughtful thank you note is also cherished by your vendors.
To one of my all time favorite couples, Stefanie & Brad, wishing you a happy anniversary!

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Celebrate with a new twist on a classic margarita, try a Tomatillo Margarita!
makes 4 cocktails
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cold water
Bring the water and sugar to a boil until sugar dissolves. Let cool completely.
2 tbsp coarse salt
zest from 2 limes (use the limes you’re going to juice)
Stir the lime zest and salt together.
2 small tomatillos
4 oz white tequila
Puree the tomatillos and push through a fine-mesh sieve to separate the pulp and the juice. Juice the limes into the juice of the tomatillos.
In a large pitcher, stir the lime/tomatillo juice, the simple syrup (add half at a time and taste to make sure it’s not too sweet) and tequila. Taste and add more lime or simple syrup. Stir well and chill for at least an hour.
Use a wedge of lime to moisten the rim of your glass and dip into the rim mixture. Fill glasses with crushed ice and pour margarita over.
